Raspberry Brownies recipe

Bewarebrownies this good are bound to go fast, so wrap a few for later and enjoy the rest for a heavenly dessert.

Ingredients:

1 cup butter
6 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
1 ½ cups sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon brandy or coffee liquor
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup raspberry jam
Powdered sugar, for serving
Fresh raspberries, for serving

Preparation Instructions:

1) Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-by-13-inch baking pan.

2) In a large bowl, microwave butter and chocolate until just melted, about 45 to 90 seconds total. Add sugar, eggs, and liquor; beat well until smooth. Add flour and baking powder; beat slowly until just mixed. Fold in chocolate chips.

3) Spread most of the batter into prepared pan; spread jam over the surface. Drizzle remaining batter over jam; swirl with a knife to incorporate and make swirl designs. Smooth top.

4) Bake 22 to 25 minutes, until top is just cracked and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Cool completely in pan; slice and serve with powdered sugar and fresh berries.
